One the eve of her debut appearance on CBS Television's Criminal Minds, Jamaican actress and Goodwill ambassador Shauna Chin, has been named among the list of film-makers whose script will be produced for the inaugural Jamaica Film Festival.

The event is slated for Kingston, July 12-17, 2015.

Chin, who will appear in a cameo role tomorrow in the episode titled Hero Worship, alongside Matthew Gray Gubler, has been a popular face as Claudine Chambers on The Blackburns of Royal Palm Estate.

Her Jamaica Film Festival entry, Reprisal, which is set to be directed by the actress, centres around a vengeful detective who is determined to seek justice for the loss of her fiancé and unborn child, but complications arise when the guilty may be her only remaining loved ones.

Screen legends Ky-Mani Marley and Paul Campbell are rumored to be currently attached to the project.

"The film will be produced locally, using local talent so if you have always dreamt of acting onscreen, now may be your chance," Chin told The Gleaner.
